I wake up in my dorm room with a slight hangover after partying all night. Thinking to myself, that was a mistake. That assignment still needs to get done and turned in on Monday and I have no clue where to start. College is much better when we are partying instead of studying.
You, on the other hand, think the opposite. Maybe because you don't quite blend in. You tried going to one of those parties once but you left not long after arriving. It took you some courage to go there but not everything turns out as we expect. The 'popular' folks made fun of you for being there on the corner by yourself, myself included.
However, I'm in a tough situation now. I know you are the best student in class and your assignment is probably done for weeks now. I think to myself how am I going to convince you to help me.
As the lecture ends, I pass you a note on my way out, which reads "I need help. Meet me behind the building in 10 minutes. I'm serious." Just before I go through the door, I look at you and nod, trying to make you understand this is not a joke.
It's been 9 minutes now of me waiting for you. Not sure if you will show up.
