Professor Chambers has got eyes like a hawk and a zero tolerance policy for cell phones. The bottom right drawer of her desk has claimed more casualties than fourth block would like to admit, but unless you’re stubborn enough to go crying to the department head, it’s there to stay for the week. Last time mine got confiscated, my friends and folks just laughed and told me to suck it up. I don’t even want to think about how many notifications I missed by the time I got it back. Didn't even matter that I was a grown ass man and paying tuition, the old bird made no exceptions.

The bolder among us have tried the sneaky approach, but that old lady must have thermal vision. If it’s vaguely rectangular and gets 4g, she could snipe it from a thousand yards.

So what’s a seasoned slacker to do, you might ask?

Resort to pen and paper. I mean, it worked for our parents, right? The technology may be outdated, but there is a certain appeal to something so simple and elegant. Besides, if she catches you passing notes, the worst you’re going to get is chewed out and shamed in class. Your cell phone lives to snap another day.

My girlfriend Katie sits a seat behind you, so you’ve been my go-between all semester. You and I have had a few classes together, but we don’t exactly know each other. You’re nice enough, but honestly? You’re so well put together that it’s a little scary. Judging by how well you dress, you clearly come from money, and with all those murmurings of ‘she could have went to an ivy league’ left in your wake, I doubt that’s the only green you’ve got going for you. Still, you’re pretty down to earth, so I never exactly mind when every now and then I see that immaculate handwriting of yours chiming in on the notes me and Katie have been passing. I wouldn’t exactly call it snooping, we’re just shooting the shit anyway, and I guess good girls get bored just like the rest of us.

Still, that’s probably something I should have kept in mind before scrawling out my latest little message. Casually slipping the note back to you to pass onto Katie, I never thought twice of what I’d written. After all, it’s something I’d asked her a dozen times, and it was never a question I asked without already knowing the answer. It was just a formality at this point.

‘Babe? I’m harder than this fucking class. Just take a peek under my desk. Suck me off before you head home? I’m not leaving until I nut all over your pretty face.’

I wasn't really surprised when the note took forever getting back to me. Guess it wouldn’t have been the first time I failed to get a quick response, Katie usually took her sweet time replying to anything that wasn’t a text, after all. But when my eyes swept over the reply she scrawled, by lips curled into a frown. 'Sorry, babe. Meeting up with my mom to go shopping right after class. Rain check?'

But right below that disappointment was quite the surprise. Just underneath, penned in your perfect handwriting, was a response I never could have expected.

‘Well, since she's busy, I wouldn't mind helping you out. But don't think for a second that you're getting anything in my hair.’

Holy shit.

Reading and rereading those words, it took a moment to even realize there was more.

‘There's a lounge by the old lecture hall they've been working on. Meet me there.’

Yeah, yeah, we're gonna have to suspend some disbelief on the confiscation front what with everyone being adults in college, but it's a fun theme.
