Birds chirp above the verdant city of Hilor, with sparsely a cloud staining the afternoon sky. This settlement is the capital of man's presence in Larûn, shrouded by mountains to the North and foamy coast to the West. It serves as seat for the kingdom's government, and over it's many centuries of development, proved to be one of the most beautiful cities on the plane.

Today, the usual peace and tranquillity is broken by scores of bustling servants, dusting and cleaning, cooking and baking. Word has been dispatched that an emissary from the kingdom of the Elves will be arriving at any moment, and several last-minute arrangements are in order.

The towers are a mess, the wine cellar needs dusting, and dinner is an hour behind schedule. What's worse is that as princess-consort it is your duty to oversee it all. A plethora of dutiful servants remain at your disposal, humbly bowing as they notice you walking down the endless winding corridors of the palace. A lot rests on this night, Elves are renown for their appreciation of quality.

Ever since the barbarians in-land were driven back to their camps and the grand alliance no longer served a purpose, relations between the two kingdoms could be described as cordial at best. With growing industry on the other continent and seafaring trade becoming more profitable with every day, there are many who fear that the Elves may look elsewhere for their goods. Perhaps tonight will prove why the hospitality of man is renowned throughout the world.

Just as you're sampling the quality of the deserts, Kryx, the household's head-maid makes her way nervously towards you. Her tiefling tail dangling between her legs.

"Your highness, the delegation, they've arrived." She states, clutching at her dress anxiously.

You make your way up to the gate as fast as you can, just making it in time to see a slender Elven figure make his way out of a carriage lined with gold. His features are slender and soft, in fact it would be easy to mistake him for a woman if it weren't for the male diplomatic uniform.

His hair is a golden yellow, and stretches down down his back. Given his Elvish nature it is hard to determine his age, yet if he were a human, he would appear little more than 21 years of age. Remarkably, he even breaks custom by closing the carriage door himself, and refusing an arm to lean upon when stepping down.

This is not the emissary you were expecting, but given the absence of any others, it is the one you will have to receive.

"Good evening, my lady." The Elf chimes, bending down to kiss your hand.

"I am Ashyldor Klaus-Bretel Herfast Bethencourt, 4th Baron of Foxwood, however you may call me Ash."

I hope you enjoyed my brief prompt, there are quite a few ways it could ultimately go. I'm very interested to see where it takes us. If you couldn't tell, I would be playing the role of "Ash" the Elven Diplomat from a neighbouring kingdom, and you would be playing a princess-consort, getting the palace ready for my arrival.
