Every year it became harder to stand out and the pressure to add to your application was stronger. One option many of your classmates talked about was going to academic conferences. You could submit a presentation, travel, network and try to meet professionals who could write you a letter or help your budding career. The problem was it was expensive, and a bit overwhelming. How would you know which conference to attend, and what to try to present? And how would you afford going?

You started to do some research into the options, as well as potential scholarships, when you came across an interesting ad. It seemed to offer everything you needed. A senior fellow looking for some help working on a presentation or two, your name would be included, and he was going to cover registration and travel for you to attend. There were a couple of slightly odd requirements, including requesting females only, the need to submit a picture with your application, and something about being comfortable sharing a room. The whole thing seemed professional enough otherwise, and what could it hurt to apply?

For this I'm *mostly* looking for a longer term, build-up with potentially multiple sexual encounters, though a slightly quicker one-off isn't out of the question. The relationship I'm interested in exploring has a modest age gap (mid-30's for me, early-mid 20's for you) and a mentor-mentee relationship that isn't exactly a power dynamic, but has a component of it. It's taboo in that it exists in a professional environment, and the mentor/mentee dynamic isn't supposed to be sexual.
