You had always been the driving force in my life. Telling me what to wear, which classes to take, when to eat and study. It was a classic tale of a rich divorcee with nothing else to focus on but her single kid. And I’ll admit i benefited from it, outperforming others in my studies and earning entrance to a prestigious college. I figured the miles that separated us would help to finally peel your fingers away from my life.
