You roll over in bed next to your husband and look at the alarm clock 3:00 am it reads, the music from across the street has been going since 7 pm, you have to be up in 3 more hours and you haven’t gotten any sleep tonight or the last few nights for that matter. The parties have been going non stop since I moved in. The quiet subdivision that you and your husband have raised your family on is now loud and going non stop, at least at my house. You poke your husband and ask him to go and tell me to turn the music down “I don’t want to create any conflict” he says being the beta he is, you’ve finally had enough and get out of bed, put on your robe and make your way across the street to the party, you walk up to the front door and the smell of pot hits you like a ton of bricks, you knock on the door but no answer. You try the handle and it’s unlocked you walk right in and start looking for me, inside the house is an absolute mess, red solo cups beer and liquor bottles everywhere, people passed out on the floor others talking, drinking, smoking, and even fucking. The back yard is worse, girls running around naked laughing being chased by guys, people in the pool doing god knows what and the smell of alcohol and weed is so thick you can’t get a breath of fresh air, you see me with a topless girl in my lap making out with her, as you come walking over to me someone hands you a drink, you try not to take it but it ends up in your hand anyway. As you walk up to me, you can’t help but feel jealous remembering your party days from when you were in college, your weekend party’s were very similar and you miss them, but you were on a mission.
