My dad loved bars like the one at the Seymour Hotel. The low light, the dark wood, and the bourbon selections all screamed "classic American man" in just the way he worked hard to cultivate his own image. He spent more time there then he did at the actual office, which I guess was his choice when he was the CEO of one of the largest banks in the world.

I was his only daughter, but the two of us had never really connected. Dad was focused on business first, and family somewhere close to tenth. He paid some attention to my brothers, but only as far as they were connected to the bank. When I'd started college I thought I'd just fade away from his public life. That all changed when I turned 20.

I'd never been allowed to date much as a kid. There were too many factors involved - I couldn't be with a man who was after our money or who would make our family look bad in public. I loved the idea of having a boyfriend, and eventually a husband, but getting to that point was confusing in my house.

On my birthday, my dad took me out to lunch for the first time in my life. I wasn't sure why at first, but he treated it just like a business meeting: straight to the point. He told me that he was going to get involved in my personal life and help me find a man who was suitable.

And so, six months later I was in a $6000 cocktail dress, sitting next to my dad at the hotel bar. I was going to be allowed to meet some of his candidates for the first time. Maybe that would be the night I'd meet my husband...

Hi! Today I'm looking for a partner to write a new story with me. My character is the only daughter of a distant, uninterested billionaire banker. Once she turns 20 though, he decides he's going to arrange a marriage for her. And nobody says no to dear old dad.

Who are the guys that I'll be able to meet? Are they my own age, the children of my dad's peers? Or are they the peers themselves, and my dad's going to arrange my wedding to someone who's 40 years older than me? Maybe it's some of both?

I'm hoping that this will be a long-term thing, maybe which evolves into a story about my life as a billionaire's housewife? The idea is still half-formed though, so I'm mostly looking for someone who can help me develop characters and build the world of this story about the ultra-rich! If you have any references you like send them my way and I'll share what I have! If you have any names you really like that you want my character to use, that would be a nice intro!
