Marvel Comics What if? In this alternate reality, Captain America, reeling from the loss of his best friend as well as his one true love finds himself alone in the 21st century. A bygone relic of the past, no one recognizes him as the patriotic star spangled super soldier from days of yore. Shield gives him a place to exist, work, a sense of purpose but still he finds himself missing something.

Never one to shy away from a challenge he bides his time. Slinking away at every opportune moment, he seeks out the more depraved side of himself, as well as any avenues of approach made available to him. It begins with the internet, learning the ins and outs, but that’s when he notices something different about Black Widow.

A difference in her attitude, her actions towards him. Does she know? He was so careful, using a VPN as instructed by the IT guy. Then again SHIELD is a super secret spy agency who was he kidding. This gave him cause to reach out, beyond the general day to day aspects of his life.

He would have to find something new, a new way to explore, to fulfill this new desire. He couldn’t quite place it, he’d always been the “Boy Scout”. Did the right thing. Never straying, never breaking. For once, he wanted to do something different, the wrong thing, something for himself, he wanted to be selfish.

He knew he would have to be careful, SHIELD was always watching. Widow was never far behind him either. Like testing a foot in the water he began to reach out. First with trips to the red light district. The dark, seedy, underbelly of the city. With his ball cap pulled low, in his atypical jeans and a t shirt he would make these trips.

Hookers, and prostitutes would call to him as he rode past. Only the occasional double take, someone thinking “was that? No it couldn’t be” they would tell themselves. The super soldier serum had numerous untold effects on his body. Still reeling from these changes some 70 years later he felt out of place.

His sex drive had never been anything to boast about before the injection, but now, everything had changed.
