I think it could be fun doing some akin to Starlights story in season 1… a young and hopeful hero joining The Seven and Voughts group only to discover it’s nothing like she envisions. It’s got plenty of ways it can go.

Billie had never realized that she was special. She had just assumed that what was happening for her was happening for everybody. People couldn't see well in the dark? They weren't naturally well-coordinated, with lightning fast reflexes? For most of her life, she just reveled in being that much better than her peers in anything physical. In highschool, she even broke the school's record for receiving yards as a wide receiver - not to mention the fact that she was the first ever female player for the school. However, her naivety didn't extend forever and her most powerful ability was the one that ruined the illusion for her.

She stumbled upon her extraordinary fate when she asked a boy out. He had at first said no, he was the jock-type and Billie seemed to always have trouble getting boys to like her when she was better than them in a lot of ways. However, in a fit of anger, she told him "No! We're going to go out Friday!" and to her surprise, his tune changed immensely. Billie experimented further with this and noticed that direct eye contact was all she needed to get people to listen to her (though she discovered through her experiments that digital replications would not work, so her power was a lot more intimate than a mass-brainwashing device).

Over the years, she slowly trained up her abilities, hitting the gym and practicing her stare on unsuspecting peers and teachers. Finally, fresh out of college and ready to try herself out in a world of superheroes, she embarks on her first night of stopping crime.
