You'd been in this quiet English village a two weeks now. Long enough to shoot the scenes for your next movie, and do a few promo's. You would've stayed in London, but truth be told, with long hours on set you found it easier to stay here and travel into the city when you needed to for TV.
But, you were ready for home now. Sure, the quaint little village had grown on you, maybe you really liked the peace and quiet, but still inside you yearned for the comforts of your LA mansion and the hustle and bustle of the city. There had been the initial excitement from the younger people, and there was a photo of you with B&B owner behind the bar now, but that had all died down and it was somewhat refreshing to be able to walk around and not be 'papped' every day. But, Nonetheless, you were ready for home.
With your cases packed, waiting on your driver to take you to the airport, you sat in your room texting friends and making arrangements for your return, the radio in the background acting as background noise, until the news report made you sit up.
A huge security strike at Heathrow had meant all planes were grounded for the next week.
Great. Guess you had to cancel those freshly made plans, huh?
So, instead of getting yourself dolled up for a cocktail or two with friends, you pulled on your comfy clothes and headed down to the bar for a drink that night. Why not? I mean, it's Friday?
Only, it seemed a little busier than usual. Taking up a stool at the bar you asked the owner what was going on.
"Oh, it's like this once a month" The portly gentleman tells you as he slides a drink in front of you. "Open mic weekend. Talent from the surrounding area come along and play. Means the young'un's don't need to travel into London and pay over the odds for a drink! Not the biggest venue, but the village doesn't seem as dead for a couple of days!" he chuckles nodding to the small crowd of 20 somethings seated near the small, makeshift stage.
I was first up. A small round of applause as I made my way to the stage with my guitar in hand. 6' tall with short mousey brown hair, and playful brown eyes. A cheeky grin on my clean shaven face. Dressed in a fitted black t-shirt that showed off the sleeve tattoo on my right arm and hinted at the toned torso beneath and on my legs, a pair of light blue jeans, which if you asked the couple of girls at the front; made my "butt look cute".
So, I played. Cover versions mainly, songs to get the crowd warmed up and singing along.
Little did I know, my biggest celebrity crush was somewhere in the small sea of faces.
Bit of a celebrity prompt. Bit of a meet-cute maybe? A fleeting romance or a one night thing before you fly back to LA? Something longer maybe? The prompt is what we want it to be!
I've left the celebrity your choice, but my top three would be Anna Kendrick, Cobie Smulders, Logan Browning. Happy for you to bring your own to the table though!
If you like it, let me know!
