An interstellar, rogue dwarf-planet was identified by NASA entering the solar system. Its trajectory was tracked to a slingshot around Jupiter which put it on a collision course with planet Earth. Within 3 months, the prediction was confirmed by ESA, and the corresponding agencies in India, China, Japan, and Russia. The most popular of the common names given to the object was a pun, coined online and propagated by a populace where dark humor was all they had left: Ragnar-rock, or simply Ragnar, Raggy, or Ol' Rags.
Because Ragnar was a dwarf-planet and not an asteroid, all the science fiction possibilities of redirection wouldn't work. Every nuclear missile in the world could be launched, and would have no greater chance of redirecting Ragnar than they would changing the orbit of the moon. No drill could drill deep enough into it to even begin to think about putting a bomb inside the planet to crack it apart, were a bomb ever so strong even to exist. A laser could not be used to shove it slowly off course, even trying to redirect smaller asteroids into it could not be done fast enough or in enough quantity. The timeline was 10 years.

Several efforts to survive Ragnar-rock were begun. The most popular was a Martian colony base, and was fueled primarily through private corporations and the US government. ESA initially favored a Lunar colony. The moon would receive a great deal of asteroid impacts from the collision with Earth, but it was not expected to break up. A lunar colony below the surface should be able to survive with some effort. Russia and China favored non-planetary solutions and seized control of the international space station which they planned to expand, and send to one of the Langrange points ahead of the the Earth in its orbit to build a self sustaining station of rotating disks. Several joint committees of scientists and engineers were given leave to design independent habitats for other dwarf objects in the asteroid belt, and one even drew up plans for a launch to Titan. Many were crowd sourced by a desperate populace who hoped in turn to earn spots in these smaller enclaves.
2033
The lunar colony was drilled to a depth suitable for construction, and the Martian colony shipped materials and the first few people to Mars. The no longer "international" space station quadrupled in size, broke in half, then doubled again. Minor countries have sided with different super powers to begin applying a truly global effort to save humankind save for a few blood instances of struggling to cope. North Korea was glassed over by nuclear missiles for attempting to use the distraction to seize the south. Latin America converged and joined the American for a truly United States of all Western Americas (USWA) after a series of short civil wars and no doubt FBI backed coups. China claimed Taiwan at long last, and in return several launches, including the one that split the space station were sabotage by terrorists, slowing progress.
At this point, several facts of reality have been reached by all powers. The first of these is that an abundance of people and raw materials can't be achieved. Likewise, none of the colonies will be "complete" by the time of impact. They will all be in a partial state of extreme scarcity for several decades before they can begin to grow as one might expect of a colony. These two facts lead to an inevitable conclusion: Almost all of the colonists sent to space must be women who can later be artificially inseminated later from frozen sperm. Freezing sperm was easier to do in quantity as compared to eggs, and would not special apparatus to incubate the zygote. Women performed better in closed environments mentally, and fit into much smaller spaces.

The year impact came, and the Ruso-Chinese station, with a population of two-thousand, transferred orbit. The ESA-African Lunar colony reached a population of five-thousand, including members from several middle eastern nations. The USWA Martian colony reached a population of three-thousand, and over one-hundred-fifty independent colonies founded small enclaves in the asteroid belt whose total population was something like one-thousand-five hundred. Each colony sported literal metric tons of sperm from human males, as well as genetic material for just about all earth species, plant and animal.
In October Ragnar-rock impacts the Earth, instantly obliterating al life and elongating the two commingled planetary objects into a long arch of molten metal. The Lunar colony is bombarded and loses all external contact with the other colonies. The lunar surface soon turns molten.
2090
A half century after the break up of Earth, and the debris have finally begun to cool. It will be thousands of years before they collapse back into something like a planet, if they ever even do. The Ruso-Chinese space station has benefited greatly from collecting materials from the debris cloud to expand. After recovering from a terrible first decade or three, it now boasts a population of ten-thousand women. The Belt Enclaves have a population near as large and have managed to capture a comet for water, as well as begun trade with the RC-Station. The lunar enclave only recently managed to re-emerge to the lunar surface and establish communication with the other colonies; they have five-thousand women and have not seen sunlight in a very long time. The Martian colony has expanded to a population of amount of almost thirty-thousand women, and has several "cities" just under the Martian surface; they currently lack the ability to leave their planet's surface, partly because there has been no desire to do so.
All the colonies do not stop the practice of selecting for female sperm cells for artificial insemination.

....
I hope I didn't bore anyone. This was probably dry as fuck to most of you (almost as dry as I assume most of you are), but I like a good setup and if you've read this far then you must as well. If you skipped the main text to read this first (it's okay I do it too), then that's what you can expect. I've setup a timeline for a climate where there's a lot of room for things to do and I'd really enjoy getting a creative mind to help expand this world into some interesting scenarios. The overarching theme will be that women in the somewhat distant future have been living without men for centuries. Why do they finally decide to bring them back? Is it a matter of practicality? Is it a matter of honoring the past? Is it a matter of a new found greed for the "unknown"? Likewise, I want to explore some weirdness with how these women might have changed over time, genetically altering themselves to fit their environments. Are they tall and slender from the lack of gravity, are they pale and big eyed because of the lack of the sun? Are they short and hardier to deal with a life of labor and struggle?
That's enough questions, I don't want to nag anyone. Now what about the actual sex stuff? The good shit as some of you might think. I'm a switch, so this could go either way with the women exerting some power of the new males they create. It could have a major age gap thing going for it, maybe even something incestual? Or the males are given all the power, creating harems and imposing free-use laws due to the shifted "supply and demand." Because each colony was somewhat racially segregated there could be some raceplay stuff going on. We can also go really wild with body stuff, maybe the women have mixed their genes with animals, or mixed the male genes with animals. Maybe aliens have shown up? Maybe the men born now have crazy hyperspermia to help speed up repopulation? Dammit I'm just throwing out rhetoricals again aren't I?
I'm going to stop here as hopefully something I've said has grabbed at your attention enough to get your imagination going. I'm very open about ways to take this and I think the best way to start would just be to brainstorm together a bit and let our imaginations mingle a bit. Also, as ever, basically all my prior prompts are open for your perusal. You can see some more specific kinks there, or just some other more put together prompts. If this one doesn't strike you but one of them does feel free to bring it to my attention.
Hope to hear from some of you!
