Fantasy Roadtrippin'

What is a quest or an adventure, really? Peril, danger, excitement, doing good - all those are key, of course, but if you boil it down to the essentials, often times it's just a pair of (often homeless, likely very heavily armed) people going on a roadtrip to explore, no?

But just imagine the fun stories you could write about a pair of adventurers going out into the world together - perhaps they're long time companions, or maybe they've been shoved together for a specific job by circumstances or an employer?

Imagine it, those dangerous scraps with monsters foul and plentiful, with blackguard bandits up to no good, with dangerous traps in the oldest of tombs and hazards in the most perilous of locales.

Imagine it, those nights spend drinking and carousing in taverns across the land, staggering upstairs buzzed to a too-small inn room they've shared to save gold.

Imagine it, huddling together near a smouldering fire beneath the night sky in a quiet forest, nobody but animals around for miles, free to indulge simmering passions without a care what people think.

Less of an actual story prompt today, more of a mood, a theme and a vibe. Let's make up a pair of adventurers, find an excuse to throw them together out into a fantasy world (or maybe a different sort of world, if you have a good idea?) and then play out a fun adventure filled with simmering sexual tension and dangerous hijinks.

The Witch's Curse: A Tale of Two Heroes, Corrupted - the story of two heroes after the end of a victorious quest to slay a foul witch... who cursed them both with her last breath with a most devious spell.

Roguish Abjurer Drinks Heavily, Kidnaps Princess, Hijinks Ensue - A master magician wakes up from a night of drunken revelry to find out he's kidnapped the Princess during the festivities. Hijinks Ensue as he tries to avoid having his head end up on a pike.

The Firstborn "Daughter" - a king thinks himself devious for trying to get out of a deal to give an infamous witch his firstborn daughter to be her apprentice by only having sons, finds out that she's just going to take his firstborn son and make him girly instead.
