Over the years, my life had gotten so complicated. I'd gotten married too young, then waited too long to get divorced. I'd had two kids in the interim, and raising them alone after their father left for Key West with his intern was a full-time job on its own. I was about to turn 40, which wasn't actually hard but it was a mental burden. Throw that on top of my actual full time job teaching at the local college, and things never seemed to slow down.

I loved my job though. I was one of the youngest tenured professors at the university. The competition for tenured professors of literature at a agricultural school wasn't as severe as it would have been at my alma mater in the northeast, but the job was wonderful. I got to supervise PhD candidates, debate the finest points of the spoken word with people I respected, and still teach a full course load to students of all ages. I'd promised myself I'd never be one of those professors who stopped teaching freshman because it was "beneath them" and I'd stuck to it.

The one drawback to my situation was that my house was far from campus. We'd bought it before the divorce, to focus on HIS job. But my kids had their school and their friends, and my parents had moved close after they retired, so I didn't need to worry about being back at a specific hour. Grandma always had the time.

I'd managed to get an allowance in my contract for a small apartment near campus in my terms of employment. It was nothing special - a little studio in a small building a quick drive from school. But it was my oasis. I went there to grade if I didn't need to be in the office I shared with a colleague. I kept clothes there, so I would never need to walk around in a coffee-covered blouse after a morning mishap. If I got done working at 10 and just needed to sleep, I had a bed right there that was waiting just for me. It wasn't a home by an definition. But it was my safe harbor...

Hi! Today I'm looking for a partner to write this story with me. I'm a late-30s college professor getting over a divorce and making her own way in the world. She doesn't live close to work, but she has a little studio apartment that's all hers. She sleeps there sometimes, she works there sometimes, and having a kitchen so close means that she doesn't have to subsist on last night's leftovers.

Of course, this is DPP so you want to know about her love life! I'd love to write a story about her sharing this little space with a guy. Maybe a graduate student who she's got a little crush on? Someone who will just be easy and fun and make intimacy something she can enjoy again. I'm looking for a hot guy who wants to please an older woman and really focus on her - someone who's still excited by unhooking a bra or wants to eat her out instead of watching TV, or fuck her to sleep and be the one to get the Starbucks the next morning. I generally like the tall, handsome athletic type and don't like facial hair, if that helps guide who you want to be!
