Jon snow was cold.

So unbearably cold. It permeated him, his fingertips as icy as his core, his eyes looked up, almost idly at the crowd that had done this, that had slid the frosty steel through his jerkin and into the soft, oh so easily punctured, ruptured and sliced bits beneath. He would never forget the sensation of the sharp, freezing metal wiggling somewhere near his core as Alister Thorne had thrust the first dagger-a stilleto, into his gut.

It hurt, it had hurt so much for everyone that had come after him-people he knew didn't like him, but that he had never once suspected were damned traitors. The one that hurt the most was the last, Olly. A boy, a boy that Jon liked, even.

But they'd left, and he was laying in the snow, his lifeblood leaking from him torturously slowly, his wits slipping away, everything growing fuzzy, confused. Colder. His thoughts grew less and less coherent, until the last thought, and indeed the last words he would ever speak, for all the things that he could have worried about-could have so desperately wanted to see again, his pet was what came to his mind, that great, white wolf.

"Ghost..."

And with that, Jon snow died.

And a pair of red eyes flicked open in confusion, a thought running through the now wide awake, aware Direwolf.

'Why am I in a pen? I was in the courtyard a second ago.'

The wolf's head turned and glanced about, a slight panic overcoming him, hurriedly standing-and very nearly falling as he attempted to stand like a man, instead of a beast, Jon Sno-Ghost pawed at the latch to his prison. Confusion flared at that-He had paws-there was a moment of stunned revelation, and then...he got the latch open, and realised he was dead.

Right there. Jon could smell his own blood, and somehow knew it was him. He was dead and cold on the ground, while...warm and alive inside his Direwolf. The realisation struck him with shock. He had Warged into Ghost as he died. He was a Warg-or was, he had heard, vaguely that a Warg who's body died was trapped inside their partner. An animal with the mind of a man forevermore.

The thought terrified him-and briefly he considered slaying his former brothers in their sleep. But he sighed (More of a pant in this new, unfamiliar form) and turned. He could escape-go south, find...someone who could help him.

And that was what he did, escaping into the landscape he blended so well into, he walked for weeks, and found there were many benefits and many drawbacks to being a near pony-sized wolf. For one, raw meat tasted like the most delicious food he had ever eaten-and the smell of it, by the gods it was good. He could smell everything now, as well, from a campfire out in the woods, to the droppings of a moose a mile away, he didn't mind it, terribly, so long as he stayed away from settlements aside from short jaunts. The sheer stench of anywhere that held over a thousand people was immense.

The most...notable drawback he had discovered was that he was Horny all the time. He had never given it a thought, before, but now that he was in the body of an animal that lacked any means to masturbate?
