So, I'll probably get hugely downvoted for these ideas, but I've always wanted to do something similar to this, or build a story around it.

So in this story, myself and my partner would play a serial killer couple for the first half. Together we would write the story of how we went from being a deeply successful, though very kinky couple seemingly as a match made in heaven, earning good money in their amazingly successful life, to the pair of very depraved lives.

Going from watching movies and making love in their kinky ways on a Friday and Saturday night, to spending their time trawling on tinder, or going out to either seduce or find their latest conquests and victims to indulge all of those ridiculous fantasies normally relegated to the likes of movies and horror stories, all in the name of getting a deeply felt sexual kink. And not to mention the efforts they would need to go to cover their tracks and remove their (at first) obvious footprints in how they've done it.

It could even start as an accident. Just a bedroom experiment with a threesome partner which ended a little too violently. But the taste is achieved. It's not just enough to have got through one night like that. Oh no. Now we want to do more and more things.

Do we seduce and butter them up exactly the way we want them? Do we just take it by force? What would be our signature?

And then, for the second half - we both have a character deeply rooted in law enforcement. We can be a pair of dysfunctional detectives. Maybe one methodical and deeply committed to their job, the other always looking for the easy way out and to do the least amount of work possible (a cardinal sin for a law enforcer, tasked with the job of finding and investigating the circumstances of a victim of such a crime.) Who know, maybe one of those might unwittingly end up on the wrong end of the deadly duo.
