Alright, so after the year we've had all locked up, the word spring conjures up so many welcoming thoughts. And to this limey Brit who never got to experience Spring Break like they do across the pond, I thought my theme post might just have to go along those lines!

To say I'd enjoyed my first year as an exchange student would be the understatement of the year. I had had a great time, and I'd fell in with a great group of friends. Always hanging out whether its a few drinks in a bar or vegetating in a dorm room watching a movie, even humouring me wanting to do my touristy sight seeing thing.

And now with Spring Break right around the corner, we had that to look forward to as well. Trouble is what were we going to do? Follow the masses down to the beach? Did one of our friends parents own a lake side cabin and we had that for summer, just our group of friends? Whatever it is, there's going to be one thing for certain.

You'll be there. Ah, you. Me and you were the 'will they, won't they' couple of our group. There was always smiles and glances, what we thought was subtle flirting, but to our friends it was as subtle as a luminous orange brick through a window. Are we actually going to act on what we think this spring? Are we getting locked in a room by our friends sick of us dancing around it? Whatever happens between us, Spring (and maybe after) is going to be a whole lot more fun!
