Claire stared into her drink, still processing the day she was having. Her marriage was finally over. The divorce was final, and she was single for the first time since she was 21. Her husband had been a scumbag, she knew that. He'd been too old to be messing around with college girls when they got together, and he'd been sleeping around since she got pregnant the first time. No, she was glad to be rid of him, but the idea of starting over after 40 terrified her.
She'd agreed to try a new restaurant in the luxury hotel by her office with her friends for dinner. It was pricey, to a point where she would never have gone on her own. But Sarah and Heather had insisted, so she went along.
They dined on every luxury they could imagine, until they were working on a shared slice of cake and more wine then they cared to count. The conversation mostly stayed away from Claire's love life until Sarah started down that path.
"Claire, were you and Joe having sex at all this year?"
Claire shook her head. It had been months since she'd been intimate with her ex. "I wish," she sighed. "Well, I don't wish it with Joe. I wish I'd done it with someone." Sarah grinned.
"Well then I think you're going to like the gift that we got you tonight." Sarah held out her phone to show Claire a picture of a gorgeous, muscular man. "This is Andre, from my gym," she explained. "He's one of the trainers, but he does big weights so tragically I've never worked with him. But we flirt, and I told him about you. And he wants to meet you and have a little fun."
Sarah blushed. She was clearly drunk. "So our gift is that we got the two of you a room. He's up in a suite on the 16th floor. We already told your babysitter that you weren't coming home, and Heather's going to watch your kids overnight" Heather nodded.
"And if you're interested in things getting a little wilder," Heather continued, "See that waitress over there?" Claire looked over to see a pretty, small brunette serving drinks a few tables over. She nodded, and the waitress waved. "That's McKenna, she's a freshman at the college and if you want her to join you her shift ends at 11. She's game for whatever"
Claire sat in stunned silence. She wasn't sure what to say. The gesture was kind, she thought, but it was also SO inappropriate. But she hadn't been loved or held, or made to feel beautiful in a long time. She turned the card key to the suite Heather had given her over in her hand, unsure of what to do.
Hi! Today I want to try out a new idea - my character is a 40 something housewife who just got divorced. Her friends have set up a sexy night with two strangers for her, which of course she's going to enjoy! I want to find someone who can write multiple characters with me and make this a night Claire will never forget! I want to do some planning and talk over ideas, so let's chat for a bit! One liners or rushing are bad ways to try and catch my attention, so let's see where we connect!
