Clyde-Quinn College was a relic of an older time. Deep in the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the school had been founded before the Civil War to train teachers and give local abolitionists access to a printing press. The faculty and the residents of Stevenson Crossing, the closest town, were proud of the fact that they had been educating the brightest women America had to offer for more than 150 years.
Because CQC had been an all women's school since Day 1. The feminist tradition was a proud one and informed every aspect of life on campus. Every graduate since 1873 had written a thesis on the same question before she was allowed to commence - What Does It Mean to Be An American Woman? A copy of every essay a student had ever written was still kept in an enormous archive under the library.
CQC was as small as a college could be. Only 25 freshman were admitted each year, and the annual tuition hadn't been raised from $5000 since the 1980s. Donations, support from the state, and a healthy endowment meant that the 100 girls who were ever on campus never had to worry about unexpected financial threats.
People came to visit Clyde-Quinn from all over the US - it was a chance to live a simpler life and to feel connected to an America that didn't exist anymore. People from the region flicked to town in December to marvel at the twinkling Christmas light displays, but by and large the campus and the village were isolated all year. Some people found it unsettling, but most people bought into the vibe. Four years at Clyde-Quinn would be the best of your life.
Hi! Today I want to explore this setting and live out the lives of someone who works or studies at this tiny women's college! I'm open to play a variety of characters. Some of my ideas now: a new member of the faculty getting used to life on campus, a freshman discovering her sapphic self in the dorms on a snow day, a senior who’s in a confusing, intimate relationship with a professor, or the local vicar's daughter who works in the admin office having a little fun in her free time...there are so many possibilities!
I want this to be sexy, sweet, and fun. I'm open to setting this in the past too! If you're a man and want to play I'm interested as long as it fits the setting, which means you'd probably be a professor or someone from the town! Let's talk and plan for a while before the story starts, if you have a one-liner or want to jump right in you won't hear back from me! Tell me an idea you're thinking over and maybe suggest some looks in your first message!
