We'd left the safety of campus just after 9 to go to the bar downtown that wouldn't card anyone. Sure it meant we would have to sit in their windowless basement and we'd probably pay close to double what each drink was worth. But Kaylee was turning 19 and we wanted to party - you only got to be a freshman in college once! There were about 20 people from our floor who'd made the trip and were crammed in the tiny room together.

I'd dressed up for our night out - jeans so tight they looked like they had to be painted on, a tank top that hugged my tiny waist, and a bra that did a great job hiding the fact that I wasn't working with a ton in the chest department.

All night we drank and talked and complained about classes. We toasted Kaylee six or seven times, and by 1 AM people were starting to feel the effects of the night. Then, for the first time I heard your roommate talking. Chase was the biggest asshole on our floor, and to be honest I wasn't sure why he had come. He was the kind of guy who thought that smoking weed and listening to Ben Shapiro made him the smartest guy around. The fact that he was always trying to use it to hit on me just make it worse.

"...So if you think about it just using logic, no emotions or fallacies," he was yelling to a guy at the end of the table I didn't recognize, "Asian girls are the ideal woman for a Type A guy like you or me." He cut off his conversation to wink at me down the table. Gross

I turned to my roommate Alyssa, who was sitting next to me. "Let's go," I whispered, "Chase is creeping again." She looked down at him and grimaced. He was drinking a glass of red wine, telling his whole side of the table about how it was important to finish every night with a drink that was "a little more high-brow".

We turned to you and a couple of the other people sitting with us. You were Chase's roommate, but I thought you definitely had as many problems with him as I did. I couldn't tell how you could live with that pig and not smother him in his sleep. Maybe soon you would do us all a favor and actually go through with it.

"Hey, we're gonna bounce," Alyssa explained. "If you guys wanna swing by later Cassie and I have some beer in our room. We might have one more that's a little...more chill." One by one, the group got up and left, eager to leave the worst members of our group behind.

Hi! Today I want to write a story about college freshman having some fun. Cassie is a pretty girl who's having a problem with the floor's resident douche. You're his roommate who hates him just as much. You'll go to her dorm to have a drink, maybe play King's Cup, and if you're lucky be the last one to leave!

I'm imagining the guy here as good looking and sweet, but not a perfect 10. Cassie is definitely out of his league, but sometimes good things happen to lucky guys! I want to plan this out a little so we can see what we're comfortable with, but my goal here is to capture the innocence and casual fun of the first year of college. There's a lot of room to grow this promote with the right person!
