On a certain beach there is a department store with a very unique quirk to it.
The bottom floor, you see, is completely submerged. It was a major design flaw with the building, but rather than try to fix it, management decided to install a swimsuit shop in that room. Accessible by a special elevator in the lobby, the idea was that it would let a potential customer try one on in the water before purchasing it.
The catch is that you have to find the swimsuit you want, potentially try it on in one of the changing rooms (which are also flooded), and then buy it at self-checkout all on one breath. If you run out of air then you’re rescued by security and resuscitated, but you’ll have to return whatever it is you had that wasn’t purchased.
This is mostly a ploy to encourage impulse buys, of course, but the store is surprisingly popular among recreational swimmers and free divers hoping to hone their skills.
You have arrived here in the summertime but before you hit the beach, you realized that you’ve forgotten to bring a swimsuit of your own, but due to it being summertime the prices are pretty high… that is, except for the ones here in the underwater shop.
