"I can't believe it's been 4 months since The Blitz finally ended. The war just started and It feels like it has gone on forever." I think to myself as I look around the streets of London early in the morning watching the sunrise light up the trees that are already changing colour and losing some of their leaves.

I am a Canadian volunteer pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force stationed outside of London named Hugh. I am average build and height, I have brown hair, green eyes and today I'm casually dressed and have an already growing in a bit of a beard from being off duty from being on some much-needed leave. I used to be so high energy back home but now I'm just tired, and it shows with the bags under my eyes. I'm only 23 but I feel like I could look 35 right now.

I turn a corner on my morning walk and end up in a ruined city block and I stop and look at the damage and feel a pang of guilt. I always feel like it's my fault personally that this city block was ruined. As if I had got in my fighter sooner I could have somehow single handily fought off the Luftwaffe. It's a ridiculous thought.

It's been a few months now since The Blitz finally ended and I still have trouble sleeping at night. The nightmares wake me up in the middle of the night, flashbacks to the sirens signalling everyone needs to get to the bomb shelter or being on stand by and suddenly given the order that we need to scramble our fighters again already.

Once the guilt subsided it was quickly replaced by a pang of loneliness. I'm so far from home, I've made some pals of the other pilots but I don't hang out with them outside of the bunks or the airfield. I miss home and my family. I'm still single and still live with them, being the oldest of 6 siblings I have had to help keep things in order at home. I can only imagine how they're managing without me.

I know I'm overdue to write a letter home and I have been drafting something to say to them for a week now and I have just been carrying it in my pocket. Every time I start to write I miss home even more and can't find anything to say. Still, every morning I go to this one coffee-house nearby and try again.

After a few more minutes of walking, I arrive at the little coffee-house right as they opened up and I see that you're working today. Sarah you beautiful woman. Red shoulder-length hair, pale skin, freckles and blue eyes. Today you're wearing a rather plain light blue dress with darker thin stripes running vertically down the length of it that hug your features just enough to hint at your perfect curves. I am immediately distracted forgetting my problems. As I open the door and make eye contact with you I genuinely smile and stand up straighter. You are the reason I keep coming back here.

If the RP takes place in an existing setting I like the RP to take advantage of things and places more than existing characters. I'd be interested in just regular slice of life RP, sci-fi, fantasy, I'll try just about anything.
