I had never really liked my grandfather, in fact, I had hated him and he knew it. Just another dirty old pervert who gave me creepy looks while no one else was watching and whispered gross things into my ear. His wrinkled hands on my leg, trying to grope me all over with that hungry look in his eyes. I had told him how disgusting I thought he was and that I’d never even consider coming to another family gathering if he was there.

So Imagine my surprise when I got the call saying that he left me his huge old house. I felt bad… not for his death but because I didn’t feel anything.
