Max had moved away from home at a relatively young age. He had worked hard throughout college, keeping a 4.0 all the while working nights and weekends to pay for his classes. It had all been worth it though, in the end. He had been offered his dream job, in another country, where he could start fresh. So, at 23, he boarded a plane bound for a new life outside the US.

At first, living in a new land was tougher than he had expected. He worked long hours to prove himself and would often come home to his small one room apartment and do little more than sleep. He still kept in shape, jogging every morning before going into work. His six foot two inch frame was muscular and toned without growing bulky. His chestnut brown hair and light blue eyes were still as vibrant as they had been in college and he did his best to eat healthy. All and all, he still looked youthful, despite the work load.

It was on these morning runs, that he began to notice people watching him. Sure, he was a foreigner, and yes, his schedule was a little off meaning he left later in the day than the rest of the commuters, but he still felt odd. Like the neighborhood was watching him. Judging him for being there. That is until his neighbor's wife met him at his front door.

"Hello, Max, was it?" she seemed nervous, unsure of herself. Her English was good, but heavily accented. "Can I... come in?"

That is the basic premise.
