On the evening of October 25th, 2018, two people entered the abandoned house at 110 Forest Pines Road. On October 8th, concerned friends found a battered video camera. The couple was never heard from again.

The image of the back of a woman's head appears, bouncing shakily. Zooming out, a dark house comes into view. She is walking up a walkway, cracks overgrown with weeds. She turns and seems to notice the camera for the first time.
"Quit pointing that thing at me Brad!"
"I hope you're not so camera shy when I use it later to film us fucking," a voice says from behind the camera with a chuckle.
"You are such a pervert," she laughs, punching him in the arm and jostling the camera image. It points to the ground and shuts off abruptly.

The image jumps to the dark interior of a house. The light from the camera illuminates an isolated section of what appears to be a living room. Sheets covering the furniture are moving gently in a breeze coming through a broken window.
"[static] so weird," she says. She stands several feet ahead of the camera, her shadow towering over her on the far wall.
"Let's see what's under this," he says, moving toward the wall and a sheet that is hanging off of something. His hand appears on screen and pulls the sheet away. The two are briefly reflected in a mirror underneath. She shrieks as the camera falls to the floor. Their feet are illuminated in the camera's light as she starts to laugh.
"Admit it, that scared you too," she says as the camera is lifted from the floor.
"Your scream just startled me," he says, the camera pointing to his face briefly before he turns it around. Despite his words, the fear is evident on his face. "Come on Jess, let's look upstairs." The view turns to the entryway before cutting out again.
To be honest, this was not part of the original Blane's 13 Days of Halloween, but it was one I really liked that didn't end up going anywhere. That, and the original Day 7 just seems too specific to three years ago. If you've missed the first six days of reposts you can check them out here.
This is left deliberately open-ended. Whatever is going on in the house is up to us to decide, though not deciding right away could be fun. I would love it if the whole thing was done in the same style, but I'm not set on that. Also, as they will not survive the night, it will be short-term. Thanks for reading!
