Long days, bright nights, skimpy clothes-- summer may be unbearably hot and stifling, but it doesn’t come without its perks, too. So let’s celebrate those, now that the winter-people have had their say. Forget the gripes about sweat and bugs, and instead remember why August is a beautiful month of golden skies and golden fields ripe for harvest, golden tans and golden smiles from that certain, delicious somebody that you’ve been eyeing all night. It’s the last chance we’ll have to enjoy the sun before autumn hits, and everything devolves into falling leaves and pumpkin spice everything. So come, lovers and revelers; gather ‘round the bonfire and share in the joy that is the last golden days of summer.
