You know, being in a Coma sucks. Like I've seen reports where they say it's like dreaming. And it kinda is, except the dreams just kinda stop after a while. And then you're just stuck in your own head and there's nothing to do but kinda go along with it. Granted I had a pretty active imagination, so I had adventures, saw entire landscapes and races and people in my head. All of it seemed, for lack of a better term, Normal.

I fell asleep December 30th 1999, age 19 and just as full of myself as any teenager. The Internet was just really becoming a thing, I had my own computer and then... pow. Robber slammed me on the back of the head and put me in a Coma. Found all this out after I woke up. And man, things have changed.

For one the Y2K but turned out to be a thing. Then Magic started being a thing too. Cybernetics, Robotics... remember the old stories? About Elves and Dwarves and such? Turns out they were real. And thanks to magic I woke up, when it seemed like I would sleep forever.

See, I'd always been kind of a chubby guy. But being in a Coma and having a massive magical reawakening the world over well... some people's bloodlines turned them with the Genesis Wave. Turning into Elves, Trolls, Orcs, Goblins, Gnomes, Halflings, Dwarves... so many new races. Racism because of your skin colour just seems so pointless now.

The Orc Doctor was not impressed when I said 'What the fuck is that?' As as my first words after a near 20-year coma. Or anything else that happened that day, then week, then months as I learned to function again. Physiotherapy, Psychotherapy to get used to my body again, learning about what happened after the Dragons took control, the Megacorporations and the Mega-cities of Toltec and Washington, London, Shanghai, Beijing... As it turns out magic kinda puts the world on super-speed.

So what now, when I find myself in massive debt thanks to Medical Expenses? I've heard about these guys, Shadowrunners... maybe I can make a quick buck and find my way in the world now. Here's hoping.

Hello there Ladies and Gentlemen. Simple little prompt here; give me your Shadowrunner and he'll me make a world. Not looking to GM, I just want to play as someone who woke up from a Coma and found himself in a world flip-turned upside down.

Not much more to say really, aside from the following; anyone So long to play a cute, Tomboy/Punky Goblin or Halfling with some attitude and maybe a bit of muscle gets double-A in my book. Doubly so if they're in to being a bit more dominant for someone with a bit of future-shock.
