I've never been a GM for a CYOA before, but I've been curious about it for a while. I decided to finally give it a shot. Even though I haven't done this before, I have a fair amount of RP experience, some of which includes controlling multiple people. Here's my profile.
This will be a longterm adventure, so make sure you're willing to commit to sticking with it for a little while. For this I'd also like to make sure our schedules are somewhat in-sync. I want my partner to be available fairly regularly on weekdays at some point between 8AM-6PM EST. My responses are almost guaranteed to be longer than yours, and I'm fine with that, but please be able to write a substantial response with proper grammar still. Sometime only a few sentences may be warranted from you, but that can't be your default response. I have no limits for this, and will cater to anything.
If you're interested, please send me:
- the description of the character you'd like to play
- the setting/time period
- kinks (preferably denote major from minor)
- limits
I'm going to wait a little while to give people time to get them in. I'll only choose one or two people since I imagine this will be a lot of work, but even if you see this much later, feel free to send me something. There's a chance this won't get much response at all, I might only have one so far, or someone might have dropped out. Be prepared to have some discussion before we begin. I want to go over a few things before hopping in. I also won't be online that much today. I can probably be on enough to discuss the setup and kinks, but it might be best to wait until tomorrow to start, but we'll see how out schedules line up.
Here are a couple sample worlds you're welcome to choose:
Post Apocalyptic (Similar to Fallout)
There was a nuclear war 70 years before you were born. The conflict only lasted around 6 days, once the nuclear warheads started flying it was essentially over. Some metropolitan areas had been left intact, but the damage to international supply chains was catastrophic. Major cities left standing became wastelands in a matter of weeks, and society devolved.
70 years later the damage is still evident. There a small cities, some even thriving, but the global supply chain, or even regional supply chains, haven't returned. Most technology was scavenged from pre-war goods. Digital circuitry is uncommon except in the most advanced groups, but analog electronics are still widely used, although quite valuable. Despite the increasing stability, there's still dangers outside the city walls, from raiders, mutant, creatures, rogue scientific groups, and more.
Fantasy
This fantasy world will be based on medieval society - although steampunk elements are more than welcome. Magic exists in this world, but it's rare for the ability to come naturally to people. When it does they are extraordinarily powerful. It can be taught to many without the ability, but only ~10% of the population has the ability to learn, and many within that 10% are never given the opportunity to go to a university to learn. Beyond the ability of people to do magic, there are magical items in the world, not all of which require a magic user to use. Some creatures in this world also have the ability to use magic, though it's usually a much more specialized use, where only a few actions can be completed using magic.
