The heat is getting oppressive. A cloud hasnât been seen in days and the faint wind that kept the temperatures moderately decent has disappeared. A trip to water is required. I go to a popular public beach, but the crowds are appalling; hordes of little kids splash in the cool waves, and barely any sand can be seen between towels. Rolling my eyes in disgust I start walking down the beach, past the âno trespassingâ signs, onto the private sands beyond.
Here I still find families, but itâs quieter. I get a few stern glances but I just wave and point down the beach. Finally an old man scowls at me and demands I get off his property. I smile, explain Iâm just walking to a friendâs place. Briskly moving on, I walk past the last houses to the towering bluffs that mark the end of the valley. The water is empty now, except for seabirds and seals. I keep walking, twirling my shirt in one hand, letting the sun roast my bare chest. Here by the water the air is cooler and I want to see whatâs beyond the bluffs.
A quarter mile down the bluffs and the beach curves back upon itself. I look behind me, see only deserted sand stretching back to the crowded public park. Around the turn, behind the headland, more empty beach. The residents of those houses I passed are missing out. The water, unbroken by noisy kids, seems perfect for a naked swim. The shoreline makes a broad curve to another point, leaving a beautiful, calm bay less than a mile across. A small valley cuts the bluffs apart with grass and trees coming right down to the sand. Bright flickers mark a small stream dancing across the sand. Smiling at the beauty of the bay I start walking, imagining the shade underneath the trees, laying in the silence in nothing but my skin.
As I approach the stream I spot a small house just up from the beach. With a sigh I realize this bay isnât as isolated as I first believed. Yet as I go to walk past I see movement on the porch. Shading my eyes I see someone laying on a towel. As long as they donât bother me, I wonât be bothering them. But I canât resist looking back. This time I notice the figure is female, and sheâs looking at me. Uh oh. I smile apologetically at my invasion of her paradise. Inwardly I'm torn between frustration at my missed opportunity to swim naked, and wondering if I will strip down for more than swimming.
âI didn't realize anyone lived here,â I call out to the stranger. âMind if I go swimming? The water is too nice to waste.â

Open to short form role-playing, but I prefer longer, intricate stories. Commitment is a plus: I will not abandon a story without discussing things with my partner first, and I look for the same in my partners.
