She said as she suggested that you went to meet her.

As you entered the room she was watching TV, barely noticing you as she was used to the hospital staff walking in and out of the room to make tests on her. It felt strange being in the room with her and not see her smile as you walked in.

"Mira, look who is here to say hi" the doctor said.

You quickly recognized the smile on your girlfriends face, or maybe it was just her kind nature inside her that greeted you as she looked at you.

"Hi" She said with a low voice as she squint her eyes "You look familiar" she continued..

Maybe she hadn't completely forgotten who you were. But this would still mean that you had to take care of her, or maybe, this would mean that you could maybe use this situation to your advantage..
