You suspected you had a stalker weeks ago. After all, you were first an investigative reporter whose tenacity was even greater quantity than the sex appeal that led to your promotion to evening anchor on the number one Local news broadcast.
You knew not to reveal that you were on to him. You decided to play the long game and see if he'd reveal his intentions.
He kept his distance the whole time; never close enough to pose an imminent threat; always dressed immaculately, but fitting the surroundings. He wasn't imposing, he was merely
The long game dragged on for weeks. You made the decision to wait him out.
Then one day you left the studio and he wasn't there. You looked around and felt oddly alone. The cat and mouse game ended with no resolution to the mystery.
As you reached for the remote to your car you felt a presence entirely too close for comfort. Before you could respond a shout rang out and a body slumped against you.
At your feet was a man with a machete.
