Inch by inch it creeps. It slips, quiet as can be, from shadow to shadow. Its prey will only catch it in the corner of their eye while it stalks them. Care must be taken so it can watch them, let its eyes linger on their forms. Their ample bodies. So it can inhale their sweet and heady scents. But they can never know it’s there, not until it is ready.

It strikes in the dead of night. It’ll leave them screaming. Sometimes for more.
