But before we get to the experiment, let's cover our safety guidelines.

• Proper lab apparel. It is of the upmost importance to don the correct apparel for the task at hand. Lab Coat? Check! Safety Goggles! Checkity check. .....are you wearing pants under that lab coat????

• Remember to read all chemical labels and post directions. Mix up those likes and dislikes and your experiment might fail! .....also I recommend water-soluble lube.

• Documentation can be the key to success. Don't forget to capture the details. If you are not sure what to document you can always start with the five senses...sight, smell, sound, taste, touch.

• Always wash your hands after handling lab material. That vanilla sure can be sticky and sweet.
