"I can't wait for our date. What are we doing?"
Now that was the million dollar question, one that took me a while to answer. I could have taken the easy way out and set up a dinner at a nice restaurant for us, or maybe went shopping and picked out a nice picnic for us to have in the park. But I wanted something a little more intimate but also something laid back, where we could walk around without shoes on and just spend some time together. So I invited you over and made you my sous chef, just for tonight.
"Grab the bowl over there, I'm putting you in charge of the cheese."
Gorgonzola, Romano, Fontina, and Parmesan. Crumbled, grated, shredded, and grated again. Four cheeses for our four cheese pasta, into the bowl and soon to be mixed with the rest of the deliciousness. Pasta in a pot of bubbling water cooked on the back burner while I paid special attention to the Bechamel on the front. You showed off your slick knife skills while prepping the salad, an important part of our dinner even if all our attention was on the pasta.
There's something about being in the kitchen with you that kind of gets me going. I know, you would say that pretty much everything gets me going, but I stand by my point. Maybe it's because it's kind of tight in here and that pretty much every motion leads to us brushing together in some way. Maybe it's the heat, the kind that leads to unbuttoned shirts and rolled up sleeves. Or maybe it's just that I love watching you do things with your hands, and that you make the cutest face when concentrating.
Regardless of the reasons behind it, I'm already undressing you with my eyes, while I watch you drain the pasta, the torrent of steam rising up from the sink. The pasta and the sauce I worked so hard on go into the bowl to be mixed up with the cheese, and I think we both groan while we watch it melt into something that looks good enough to eat right now. But there's still one last step, a topping of butter breadcrumbs and a quick moment under the broiler, just the time we need to get the table set.
Our little table for two is all set and the win if poured. To be honest, I think I'd rather just have a tall glass of sweet iced tea, but something about the fact that this is a date means that wine feels more appropriate. Plus I think you're kind of fun when you have a little wine in you, and I have a feeling you would say the same about me.
After an agonizing five whole minutes, the pasta is done and we both watch as stringy cheese and noodles are placed onto our plates. All our work has finally come to fruition, and now we get to enjoy the fruits of our labor.
And of course, there's still dessert.
So what exactly are we having for dessert? Something with chocolate maybe. Or maybe we're just going to nibble on each other for a bit instead? This my food-centered take on a dinner date, one where we stay in and cook for each other. Dinner will be full of talking about the food, but also talking about each other, and of course lots of flirting. And then once we've leaned all about what we like we can move on to dessert, whatever that may be. This is a very cheesy vanilla sunday, but my kinks are pretty flexible and we can work in whatever we like for our dessert. So if having a nice dinner and a bit of fun sounds like your kind of thing, or if my post has just made you hungry, shoot me a message! I look forward to talking, eating, and doing so much more with you. :)
