The whole city turned out the celebrate. The princess was returned! The tale of her kidnapping by the dragon paled in comparison to the stories now being told about her rescue by four brothers. The four brothers who at this very moment stood before the king in the royal court. The old man rejoiced to have his only daughter back, but now he was faced with the dilemma of the reward. But as his advisors had told him, a promise is a promise. It seemed he had no choice. Getting to his feet, with a sweep of his arm he proclaimed "I present, the princess' husband, er.. husbands."
I decided to use a lesser known Grimm tale, The Four Skillfull Brothers. In a nutshell, four brothers, each with a ridiculous level of talent in a specific skill (an astronomer, a thief, a huntsman, and a tailor), save a princess from a dragon. The king, who promised her hand to the man who rescued her, decides that since they can't all have her, each will get a quarter of his kingdom instead. But this is DPP and we say the hell with that!
Now, if you've made it this far, how is this accomplished? Do they take turns, trading off each night? Or do they share like all brothers should? Another thought I had - what if each brother has an additional, sexier skill? Let's talk about this if you're interested.
