Raise a toast to Bacchus!

I am the master of this villa, the handsome, up-and-coming Senator Lucius Aquilius. I've gotten where I am by amassing wealth and power, and by knowing how to,play the game. Therefore I'm hosting this bacchanal to ensure my continued success.

I have spared no expense. Elaborate rugs cover the floors, collected from the most exotic locales in the Empire. Incense hangs heavy in the air, mixing with the sweet smell of honeyed wine. Piles of luxurious pillows can be found throughout the room. One has already been claimed by a particularly lusty senator having his way with one of my servants.

All manner of guests are in attendance. Senators plot amongst themselves, seek favor from corrupt priestess, or seek pleasure from slave girls and boys. Noblewomen ogle the champion of the afternoon's gladiatorial games and are entranced by the stories of Rome's mightiest generals. Some guests were invited to curry favor, others are here for entertainment.

Exotic dancing girls twirl throughout the room, their brightly colored silk veils tantalizing both the male and female guests. Their accompanying music is all but lost in the din of conversation. Laughter erupts from the group surrounding one general, embellishing the tale of his greatest victory. I smile to myself, reminding the head of my kitchen staff to keep the wine flowing all night.

I wrote this with myself as the host, but I'm not attached to that. There are many characters available for us to explore. Tell me who you would like to be, a little about your character, and if you would like me to be someone else. Join me in the excess!
