For as long as I can remember I've been able to do it. At first I didn't even know it was special, how could I? I assumed it happened for everyone. People talked about the feeling of time slowing down, but it took a while for me to realize the weren't being literal. You see, I could make time slow down just by willing it. Eventually I learned how to make it stop completely.

Through my teenage years I used it to my full advantage, doing all the things you might imagine a horny teenage boy might do with such an ability. As the years went on I tired of it. It had lost its novelty. There wasn't anything I could think of that I hadn't done.

Today I rarely use it. Occasionally if I'm on my way to work and the sidewalks are particularly crowded I'll stop time and walk down the middle of the street. Or if a deadline is looming and I need a few extra hours.

This morning, however, I would discover that I'm not alone. As I roll my eyes at the crowd and concentrate the people around me gradually slow and then come to a stop. That's when I see you. You are not slowing at all. In fact as you focus on a text on your cell phone you haven't noticed the transformation happening around you... until you plow right into a young man who falls unceremoniously like a statue. When you look down in shock, then at the frozen crowd around you, that's when our eyes meet.

Hey everybody! I hope you like my take on Public Fantasies. This is an idea I've been thinking about for a while. Honestly I'm not sure where I see it going but I think there are a lot of possibilities. Obviously this is going to take some build up - we aren't just going to go at it in the street right off the bat. ;)
