The last summer before we're off to College.
The last summer before... well, the 'real world', but not really. Close enough, though!

35°C in the sun, a cropped white top and hotpants showing off my midriff, and a few festival wristbands already locked around my wrist. My best friend is driving the car and I'm in charge of the music - the playlist has already been created in my bedroom weeks before, of course. The weather is great, the mood even better. The first tents are already up when we drive to the site, and of course the first speakers are there too, blaring out music way too loud.

When we finally arrive, it's time for the worst part of the festival. It's time to set up camp. (Of course, the dismantling afterwards is way worse, but well, you're usually still a bit drunk...)

Two tents, self-inflating air mattresses, blankets. A bit of luxury is a must - and the festival shower is also included, built especially for us by my dad.

And of course a year's supply of condoms - we're young, pretty and eager to get railed - but we're also concerned about our safety! The first festival summer as singles, the first festival summer without a family, the first festival summer where we can really let our hair down and have fun.

Once everything is unloaded, the car is parked half a world away, leaving us with half an hour walking time back to the campsite. The first band starts playing in four hours, so it's time to find some festival friends!
