Things have been really difficult lately for everyone. The local factory had shut down last year and the consequences of that were that the small town was now losing businesses that were moving elsewhere. What’s a landlord to do when he’s got residents who can barely make up their rent? Absolutely nothing. He enjoyed it. Part of him was even happy that it was happening, perhaps he could buy another apartment complex to rent out if another landlord no longer wished to try and tap into whatever resources were around.

Frank was your typical landlord, overweight, balding, with an entitled American attitude that most people hated him for. But did he care? Not one bit. He enjoyed sitting at home all day, playing video games, buying and selling stocks in the market to make even more money and splurging on his favorite fast food joints nearby. He could swear, if it wasn’t for him, a couple of those businesses would not be in business anymore.
