The new job wasn’t an ideal fit, but I needed something to pay rent while I kept looking for something more long term. It wasn’t ideal for… many reasons. The phrase “you can’t handle this shit huh?” Had been floated out there by several customers, yet I remained in favor with them.

Being one of several employees at small dispensary that delivered, my job was more focused on customer experience. I was a budtender that people hired either privately for themself or for events, while being straight edge was… odd. They were all right of course, even with the small amount of smoke filling the rooms I worked in all and the occasional exhale near my face making my blush and look nervous - I can’t handle my shit.

Maybe that was part of the appeal to people? I rolled good joints, was comfortable around the stuff, I suppose dressing how the customer requested helped. Even if the… more goth attire wasn’t my natural choice. Plus always had a bit of attraction to stoners. Maybe more than a bit. Regardless I kept getting work which was good.
