In a harsh, post-apocalyptic world, Jay was a towering man with a gentle soul. He wandered from camp to camp, helping where he could. One day, he arrived at a settlement and offered them food and supplies. The next morning, their water was missing, and suspicion fell on Jay, the outsider.
Despite his protests, they forced him into a makeshift pillory, locking his head and hands in place. Mara, the camp leader, glared at him, convinced he was the thief. The villagers jeered, ignoring his pleas of innocence. Hours passed, and the sun beat down on him, but no one came to free him. Jay remained silent, enduring their scorn, resigned to his fate, and bound to the pillory as an innocent man in a broken world.
So I’m looking to explore this world where water is a shortage and we have reverted back to a curler more public form of punishment. Who will you be the towns people, looking to torture me?
