'm a 19 year-old college girl who just started her sophomore year of college. I love Victorian novels, ballet, and watching Sex and the City with my friends. I also happen to have a lethal case of Daddy Issues.

My parents divorced when I was little, and I grew up spending the school week with my mom and weekends with Dad. My dad was already in his 40s when I was born and definitely embodies the values of a different generation. He grew up in a tough neighborhood, then got out thanks to a football scholarship and the Marines. He's a self-made man and definitely not PC. He always had high expectations for me, and at the same time, he and my mom definitely had a good cop/bad cop routine. She's always treated me like a kid, whereas he let me watch R-rated movies and sample his martinis.

Now that I'm the age of the girl he dates, another aspect of my dad really stands out to me. Ever since my parents divorced, he's been an unrepentant womanizer. He doesn't date girls over 25 and usually has a few in rotation, what he'll only semi-jokingly refer to as his "harem." He owns several high-end steakhouses and gyms and also invests in a modeling agency, so there are lots of beautiful young women eager for his approval.

My dad doesn't hide this side of himself from me, and I honestly really respect that. I know a lot of girls would be weirded out, but it actually make me proud of him that he just goes after what he wants. He certainly seems very happy with his life.
