Kaleb was a bully, emphasis on was. He picked on you and harassed you all through high school. It started with awful nicknames that he made sure would catch on. He would call you them so casually that even a teacher or two thought it was your real name. The torture kept escalating as nobody seemed to be able to stop him. Principals and school boards kept saying that it was all “he said she said.” Hearsay they said. Nothing they can expel a child over without proof.

He started actively bumping you into lockers in the hall. He even brought a knife one day and cut a hole in your skirt showing off your ass to everyone. Kaleb made it hard to find a safe place anywhere in town. You were so happy to finally get out and find a new home, at least for the next four years.

So now you are at university. You made it through orientation week and even found some new friends. It’s been nice. Your dorm room is decorated just how you like it and your roommate seems nice. There’s a whole new world of possibilities for you here.

One night while studying you decide to walk over to the local convenience store. You need a snack and something sweet to drink. The lights of the store flood across the street, but the parking lot seems abandoned short of one beat-up old Cavalier. You walk inside and behind the counter stands Kaleb. His eyes widen when he sees you, is that… fear?

Kaleb goes to the same school as you. He just barely got in and spends all his free time working one of his many part-time jobs. He isn’t the big man on campus anymore. Kaleb now spends his days at the mercy of customers while working retail and service jobs. It has visibly shaken him. Now you walk in, someone who could have a specific vendetta against him.

So what will you do? Do you take pity on Kaleb and try and become a friend? Maybe something more? There are no cameras the owner is too cheap. 

Or do you get revenge and start tossing things on the ground humiliating him and making him clean it up? Any way around it Kaleb is at your mercy, he needs this job and won’t do anything that might get him fired. You could report him at any time.
