The outside world is a mystery to you. The elves split into two ideologies for the most part. One that embraced the changes of the world as the ages past, and those that sought to keep the old ways. Your village is among the later with the treetop rope bridges and ladders, old hand spun silks, tradition, you were told had to be maintained.

Of course the world beyond the trees makes its way through. Tourists with their funny devices and baubles, their strange clothes and wild curiosity. Some things needed to make life a little easier. Tools, food, lights, but for the most part, life was simple, but the one rule was never to bond with any of the others.

Bonding is a rite of passage for all young elves after they are seen as an adult and was heavily controlled. The two souls would entwine with their bodies and as the seed is planted, so too are their fates bound together. The girl, now a woman, would be his until his death or abandonment. Her body not just craving, but needing him. Ever adjusting to his desires, and hers growing with each coupling, an evolutionary trait to keep the men interested. In turn, his desires grow more protective, her becoming the center of his world. Or so you were told. It was true that after the bonding, the women did become more beautiful, more attached to their men. Bigger breasts, narrower waists, their skin almost seeming to shine.

Of course you wouldn't know. Your father had rejected all the suitors in the forest it seemed. Probably wanting to keep you around the tavern to help after mother disappeared. It was hard on him, for sure, but there had to be more than this village and the hunting grounds. You were old enough now! Young and petite, but still, you needed more! But here you were, cooking pheasant, pouring drink, sweeping floors, cleaning dishes. Then he came.

It was late afternoon when you heard from your friends. A human had come and hunter at that. Giggling and wondering drove curiosity and he was staying at your inn. Perhaps he would at least sate your curiosity with stories from beyond the trees. You hoped he was nice. And a little part of you hoped he was handsome.

So this idea has been rattling around in my head for a bit. I love world building, brainstorming and of course the RP itself. The world is modern/urban fantasy, with this corner of the world clinging to the past. I prefer 3rd person past tense and Discord. I'd love to hear what you think, any ideas you may want to add.
