I was on another one of my wanderlust trips. These happen from time to time. I get a bit antsy, and I have to get as far away from home as possible. So I booked it, and then next day I was in my beat up car and on my way to the middle of nowhere. I was excited, yet a bit skeptical, to be heading out to a part of the country I'd never been before. It was fun to experience something new, but I always had to be careful. In remote places like this you never knew how people would feel about a girl like me. My car spun through rolling hills, vast plains, and then finally arriving at what appeared to be a sprawling cattle ranch in a valley fixed between two mountain ranges. It was the winter, and the chilly air made me shiver as I regretted not packing for more brutal weather.

I checked into the barn, which had been renovated to provide for all the comforts you'd want. A nice, large bed. Comfy fabric lined furniture. A big fireplace with a rug laid out in front of it. As I settled in, using the self check-in process described on my listing, it began to snow outside. After a little while, trying to adjust the heat, I made an attempt at the gas fireplace but couldn't figure out how to get it turned on. The snow outside continued to pour as the wind could be heard crashing against the walls outside. I reached for my phone, attempting to contact the host to see if I could gather any help with the fireplace or the heater. A few minutes later, a loud knock on the door breaks the silence and I answer. Standing in front of me is a large, imposing, and handsome older man.
