Why hello there pumpkin!

I know it has been such a long, hard day for you as a Big Girl at your job. Daddy knows all you need right now is to have me sit you down on the couch and let you snuggle into my lap, let Daddy run his fingers through your hair and whisper directly into your ear, asking about what went on today that upset my princess so deeply. You are daddy's whole wide world, you know that? The reassurances and soft, tender care would come pouring out of me effortlessly as I would do anything in my power to help soothe and quell the bristled, most tender parts of yourself that leave everyone and everything at arms length, unable to care for the neediest parts of yourself that go unattended.

Daddy wants to be able to speak that secret combination of words that youve been waiting your whole life to hear. To have that conversation that was broken off, left in limbo that happened with someone else entirely in your life years ago - the one where you never got closure, left with questions too painful to consider past the grieving process. That isn't to say Daddy will give you the answers they would, but I want you to know that I am here to provide you with whatever possible support that I can. That the bond you and I share transcend and exceeds some simple power dynamic, or relationship label, or the fact that all you ache and care for is daddy's validation and attention, the same way I crave deep down to adore and idolize my babygirl.

I hope that this letter leaves you with some small semblance of tender love and care. To know that Daddy is out there, has been looking for you and would love nothing more than to spend the rest of his days giving his all, to show you what he is truly capable of when given his other half. Until such a time as this reaches you, Daddy will continue to write. Secret letters, things meant only to be seen by your eyes but still put out there for seemingly everyone to see, because I can't stop with this arduous, sometimes incredibly painful process until I've found you.
