This was nothing new to Zirna. Born as a commoner, every day of her life was agony to gain even the barest modicum of wealth or respect. Through her natural cunning and a willingness to do whatever it takes, Zirna slowly climbed the spider eat spider society and made it into the warrior caste.

Since she had not been trained since birth, Zirna found traditional battle styles and techniques difficult. What she excelled at were ambush strategies and slipping in and out of combat, so she was soon assigned to reconnaissance and spy ops. After mastering her training, Zirna was given the privilege very few drow were afforded: to explore the surface.

Once Zirna's eyes grew adjusted to the sunlight, her mission began. Using everything she had been taught about espionage and infiltration, the drow was to integrate herself in surface society. Her primary mission was simple information gathering, but the Queen always gave rewards for capturing surface slaves or assassinating important surface figures. What Zirna could never have prepared for, however, is just how different surface people were from her own.

What awaits the drow spy? Does she get captured on a failed mission and forced to become a surface dweller's slave? Does a good natured surface dweller help her to learn about a life beyond just violence and deceit? Or perhaps she finds herself victorious and the owner of her own surface slave?
