The Plot-

One day:

"Common you know he is rich and he takes good care of you." I overheard and knew it was directed towards me as i was taking coffee from the pot. I carried the cup back towards the couch and made myself comfortable as i looked at her "So what? He loves me." answering back to her.

"Yeah and did you guys...?" there was a small pause as she looked at me. my eyebrows raised as i looked at her and realized what she was wanting to know. She was my best friend but this was my boyfriend. So what if he was 20 years older than me. "No.. No. not that. just the first base. you know."

I took a sip and looked away as i wanted to avoid this topic now. She chimed. "So.. Just first base. huh? which one right or left?" I felt embarrassed and sort of made a frown on my face and said to myself. 'What's with her, this is none of her business.' but, unlike anyone else, she was my bestie. "Both, now STOP!" i said with a sly smile not wanting her to probe anymore.

"and where?" looking back at her annoyed. "In his bed?"

Another Day

"Will you marry me or no?" The droplet of tear visible in my eyes as i kept pleading for him to marry me.

We had been together only for a year and every time the topic of marriage came to fore. All I would get is his silence. Silence was the only way he communicated. He was mad after me, that is what I thought. Looking for me and the first time we met. All he said was I like you, which slowly turned into Love you but never was a word utter that he wanted to consummate this arrangement into a long lasting relationship.

"Common, you know I love you." he answered. Yes he loved me, showed that he cared about me but never a word of marriage.

He used to always get excited about travelling, travelling with me to different places with his friends. Always asking me out for a date taking me to nice places and shower me for all the gifts.
