“Special Agent Cole, codename Athena…” the director said, before looking up to the woman that was seated in front of her in the dimly lit, smoke-filled room. A cheap, non-palatial wooden table was the only thing separating the two, the entire surface of it being covered in paperwork stained by smudges of coffee and ashes. Ellen wasn’t certain what to expect from the man in front of him, who was currently content with only smoking his cigar and eyeing the younger woman that calmly waited for what he had to say. The agent didn’t know if to expect a verbal rebuke from him, or perhaps something more constructive.

“There is a reason why you were called up to our small base of operations in Kiel,” He eventually continued, having placed his burnt-out cigarette in the ashtray that stained the table and the papers below it. The smoke or the cinder didn’t seem to be a problem for him though. Instead, he reached out and pointed to a map that was placed in front of Ellen. “Sweden. You have a mission there, and quite an extraordinary one, shall I say. You need to transport two Soviet turncoats from the capital, here,” He said and pointed to Stockholm with a pencil, which was on the eastern side of the Nordic nation, before moving his pencil to the other side of the Scandinavian peninsula, orienting it towards a member state of NATO. “to here, the safer waters in Oslo, Norway,” he explained. The mission didn’t seem too complicated, but the stakes were very high. The director didn’t even need to explain the importance that two defecting members of the USSR could have for the US secret services for her to realize just how much was at play here. Regardless, Ellen felt confident that she could pull this operation off without any issues. She considered herself to be sharp and vigorous on the field, though she wasn’t exactly arrogant either. She was ready to prove herself to the CIA, that she too could be a Special Agent not by just her title, but also by her actions.

“One of the deserters is an agent, a real top gun of the KGB, whilst the other one seems like more of an… everyday officer, not a field agent if our intel is correct. They’ve made a difficult journey from Leningrad, through Finland and across the Baltic Sea to Sweden. This is the home stretch for them, you’re just escorting them for safety reasons. We can never trust the Swedes, especially when their prime minister is a full-blown commie just like the ones in Moscow…” He explained, before veering off into ramblings about the geopolitics of the Nordic State.

“...but Olof Palme is not a communist, director,” Ellen replied, though she was only met with a snort from the other side of the table as a response. After she was admitted into the CIA, she had spent enough time learning about the political division of the world, and which countries stood on which side of it. She agreed with the need for an escort, though his analysis seemed to be slightly blurred by the overly US-centric views of whatever liberty or socialism was, not that Ellie was a red by any means. She considered herself to be a patriot, and if she even doubted the motives of the United States by a miniscule amount, she wouldn’t be working for the Central Intelligence Agency of all organizations.

“Yeah sure, whatever. That’s not important. The point is that we can’t just leave the two defectors at their own devices in a “neutral” country like Sweden. Though I’d like to accentuate that you must treat these deserters as Communists. Based on what we’ve gathered, it seems that they haven’t defected because of their disagreements with the Marxist-Leninist system, but rather, out of… spite, as if the two have seriously strained their relationships with both their old-guard superiors at the KGB –the lunatic Filipp Bobkov and the pawn Chebrikov, and also with this so-called reformist government led by Gorbachev who is looking to slash the budget of intelligence networks, and tone down the spy war against us,” He elaborated on the motives of the traitors.

“I understand, sir. When will my assignment begin?” Ellen asked. While she sometimes did challenge her superiors which was a very brave thing to do inside the CIA, she knew when to be formal as well, and not to play cocky. “Well, your assignment, Operation Oleander, is already underway. Your plane to Stockholm is leaving in 45 minutes, so if I were you, I would take a firm hold of these papers, your field-issued pistol, and catch the flight,” He instructed her, having straightened out the messy layer of documents to an organized stack, before handing them over to the Special Agent in front of her.

Oleander was an interesting name for a mission, Ellen thought as she nonchalantly slid out of the derelict warehouse that was used as one of the many secret outposts for the CIA in Europe She hailed a taxi from the streets of Northern Kiel, Germany. Oleanders, or Neriums as they’re more commonly known, were used to heal the wounds caused by venomous snakes during Ancient times, though little did the people back then know that Oleander was also a poison itself. Perhaps the Soviet Union was the snake in this case, even if turncoats could also be considered to be snakes, whilst the CIA would be the figurative Nerium… Ellen wasn’t sure what would happen to the defectors once they were delivered to Oslo, though that was none of her concern in the first place.

Hey, and thanks for choosing to read my old-school spy thriller-esque prompt! Basically, as I already hinted in the title of my post, I was thinking that one of the double-crossers that Agent Cole would try and escort to Norway would make another back-stab, this time against her instead of the Soviets whilst working on the behalf of some sort of a third party who could put the pressure on both the Americans and the Soviets, leading to Ellen and the other defector to having to cooperate in order to stop this rogue entity and the two-time backstabber who works for their benefit. I’ll admit that this set-up is slightly nicked off from The Living Daylights, though I was hoping that this roleplay would put an unique twist to it.

Obviously though, smutty and swoony things will be included. I was hoping to have this “forbidden romance” type of deal between Ellen and the defector who she works with. I’m open to both F-M and F-F pairings! When it comes to my kinks, I’m a fairly vanilla-oriented person. My limits include dub/non-con, toilet stuff, BDSM, anything overtly violent in bed, you get the drill.

I was hoping to have a fair balance between the espionage and the lovemaking, with enough time given to both sneaking around a mansion or an army base whilst only being armed by a pistol and passionate, romantic moments shared between two people who shouldn’t love each other but just can’t help it.

If you found this prompt to be interesting, don’t be shy about shooting me a message!
