White Book

You clutch your book tight and take a deep breath as you try to push all the anxiety and nervousness away. You open up the book and peek inside, trying to reassure yourself; it always helps, but you try not to rely on it too much. A quick glance inside and you find what you were looking for. You knew what was there of course, but it helps to see it, in my handwriting.

Rule 3: When you feel overwhelmed, stop and take three deep breaths. Hold each breath for 5 seconds.

Later, you’re pouring over a book (not the book), taking notes, doing research when you feel a twinge in your stomach. Checking the time you see it’s 2:30 and you haven’t eaten yet today. You know that it’s your body telling you to eat, but you just don’t feel like doing it, and plus you’re not actually hungry, right? Unsure of what to do, you open your little white book.

Rule 4: Make sure to eat lunch every day, even if it’s not much. You’re not allowed to skip meals.

Now it’s after lunch, and you’re feeling lethargic; you made yourself eat a small meal which satisfied your appetite, but left you feeling tired and sluggish. You can barely force yourself to get up out of the spot you ate your lunch in. You sigh as you realize that there’s a rule you should really be following. You know that if you can force yourself to follow the rule, you’ll feel better, but in order to make yourself stick to it, you have to open up your book and read my words.

Rule 2: Take a 15 minute walk every day.

Your day is almost over, but that doesn’t stop you from feeling down in the dumps. You just feel so tired, worn out. The rules helped, but they can’t fix everything—you feel lonely too. There are plenty of people around, but all of them are strangers to you, and that makes you feel even more lonely than if you were all by yourself. It doesn’t help that even though you’re almost done for the day, I won’t be back for a few more hours. With a heavy heart, you decide to use your ultimate pick-me-up. You open your book to the very first page, with your first rule written in large text taking up the whole page.

Rule 1: When you feel sad or lonely, twist your ring three times, and then remember how much I love you.

“Hey Love, how was your day? Stressful?” I ask as I arrive home three hours after you.

“It was,” you say tiredly. “I had to use four rules today. Number one always makes me alright though, so I’m not doing too bad.”

Without saying a word, I walk over to you and give you a tight hug, kissing your neck as we embrace. “Oh, I’m just glad you feel good. Don’t feel bad because you used the rules, that’s what they’re for.”

“Yeah, thank you so much for them, it makes everything just a bit easier,” you reply, blushing more than a little.

“Umm, I have an idea,” you begin to add. “It’s a bit out there, though. What if, umm, I had more rules. They don’t all have to be to make me feel better, or well… they don’t have to be designed to make me feel better. Just following your rules makes me feel so much better, like I can do anything. Sometimes it’s hard to do what I know I should be doing, but I always can do what you tell me too. It’s kinda, actually it’s really comforting. So would you, umm, give me some more rules. They can be rules that you might enjoy too, I want to make you happy too.”

Black Book

The book had come to you like a gift from your guardian angel one day, as you woke up from with a hangover and withdrawal as you felt the drugs no longer in your system. You were throwing your life away more and more each day, but you couldn't stop yourself from continuing down the path of self-destruction. That is, until the little black book appeared on your bed in the morning.

Initially, you had no idea what it did, but as soon as you touched it you instantly knew how it worked. If you wrote a rule in there, you would be forced to comply with it, as best you could. Somehow you knew it was real, and in a moment of clarity you wrote in it for the first time.

No more drinking or drugs

As you finished writing writing in it, the ink slowly faded away, and then text reappeared, not what you wrote exactly, but it was exactly what you intended when you wrote in the notebook

Rule 1: [Your name] will not willingly consume alcohol or recreational drugs.

You knew deep down that it was real, but that didn't stop you from trying to go against your rule when the cravings started to set in. You tried to drink, but as soon as a glass touched your lips, your arm wouldn't move to tip your glass and drink it. You bought more drugs, but when it came time to take them, you physically weren't able to do it. In a fit of addiction withdrawal, you got out the book and tried to cross out the rule. The ink faded and nothing changed. You tried to write in it again, overriding the rule. Again, the ink faded and nothing changed. That's when you realized just how dangerous the notebook was. It could permanently enforce rules on your life, rules you couldn't disobey or undo. From then on, you kept the notebook tightly locked away in a safe under your bed.

Years later, you're a functional member of society thanks to your book. You keep it locked away almost all the time, but you've taken it out to add a few more rules to keep yourself on the right path.

Rule 2: [Your name] will not intentionally harm herself.

Rule 3: [Your name] will exercise for a minimum of one hour, at least two days a week.

There weren't very many rules in your book because you were scared of its power, but sometimes you decided that it would be more beneficial to force yourself to live a good life than to give yourself the freedom to mess up later. You kept the book away from everyone—no one even knew about the special place you hid it, let alone that the book existed.

So how did I end up in possession of it? As soon as I touch it, I will know how it works, and I might be interested in using it more than you have, and have much more fun with it than you have.

So I have two very tonally different takes on a similar idea here. Your character has struggled a lot, but with the help of a book of rules, you find yourself doing better. And the prompt begins as I start to add kinky rules to your book.

The White Book prompt is centered on affection and romance, and the Black Book one is centered around kink, but I'm certainly fine with blending more kink or more romance if you want.

Also, I used you and I and such in the prompt, but I'm willing to switch around the roles if you would prefer. And don't feel constrained by the backstory I've provided, it's malleable.

White Book Kinks: light bondage, orgasm control, body worship, oral, aftercare, cuddles

Black Book Kinks: non/dub-con, bondage, spanking, orgasm control/denial, facesitting, TPE, body mod, semi-public
