The knight had just received her adventuring license from the guild. This allowed her to enter into contracts and complete assignments based on her guild level. It wasn't uncommon for these assignments to be simple escorts for elderly or magi, people without combat skills. Against the advice of the guild agents, she took the assignment alone, hoping to make a name for herself of being efficient and competent.
Her charter this time was a young mage, dressed in a long purple cloak with a hood that covered most of his face.. He was tall, thin, and pale as bone. If not for the pink of his lips and long, thin fingers that held his staff, she might've believed that he was a skeleton.
The road was fairly well maintained, so there should not be any danger. On the second night, the found herself falling asleep, despite having taken an alert potion. Too late did she realize the whispered chanting from the other side of the camp as her charge pretended to be asleep. As she rose from her position, trying to draw her sword, her eyes closed and she fell forward.
There was no telling how long she was asleep for, but when she awoke, she was on the cold ground in a central room of a cave. She tried to shake the grogginess from her head. The first thing she that she realized was that all of her items were gone. Her sword, armor, and fine clothes were replaced with rough fabric clothes.
From the central room, there were 6 boreholes that led to gods know where. The mouth of each hole was blocked by blue flames. Between her position in the center of the room and each of these holes was an altar with various foodstuffs on them.
The first altar had a large flat mushroom. The earthy odor was almost irresistible. Getting within a body length of it made her salivate.
The second had a vial of blue liquid. It almost glowed in the darkness of the room and looking at it reminded the knight how thirsty she was.
The third altar had some sort of tubular vegetable on it. It wasn't any sort of food that she had ever seen before in her life, but something told her it was edible like everything else on the altars.
The knight thought the fourth altar might have been milk, but it smelled impossibly sweet as she got close to it.
The last altar had a large piece of beef on it. The outside appeared to be cooked so she would not have to do anything else to prepare it.
The sixth exit had a leather ring hanging from the ceiling with silver and gold runes embedded in it. Her instincts told her that this was the most dangerous item in the cave.

Please introduce your knight and make a decision on what to do as she's trapped in the central room of a huge cave.
The knight will undergo transformations and challenges in the cave, so please be prepared for that. And let me know of any limits that I should be aware of.
